FAQs

Do I need a GP referral to book an appointment?

Yes, the referral letter is required to be eligible for your Medicare rebate. After your consultation you will be charged an initial consultation fee. Our administrative team will then automatically arrange your Medicare entitlement to be refunded to your bank account.

Is there a long wait to get in to see one of the Urologists?

The Urologists have different wait times which will be discussed with you over the phone. You can choose which specialist you would prefer to see.

What if I do not have private health insurance?

All Urologists are happy to see public patients. If you need a surgical procedure, you can elect to pay for this procedure privately or be waitlisted on the Monash Health waiting list. This will be discussed with you in your consultation.
